Madonna and Child for dVerse Kelvin's Poetic Prompt

A mother's love
eternal
behold the intensity in her eyes
tender thoughts
for her child
feel the depths of her expression
a heavenly gift
light to the world
heartfelt devotion
the joy of a child
filled with love
a message of hope
for future generations!

  7. You've expressed the unconditional love of mother for child beautifully - and then opened it up to show the unconditional love of the Child for the world. I really like this, although Mary plays only a small part in my own Christian tradition.

  10. A special poem. I've often thought about how I could capture birth and holding a new baby in a poem. I just can't seem to come up with the words. It's such an ineffable experience. It changes everything.
