The Hunted - dVerse April 23, 2013

The Hunted

Under a sliver of a crescent moon, silvery sky
the huntress hides in the shadows of memories
seeking the hunter who pierced her beating heart
a poison arrow, a rush of sharp pain

He had a slick tongue, knew exactly how to use it
calculated his every move, his fingers lingered
stroking her fragile raw flesh, his touch captivated
adrenaline rush, he felt for a pulse... she is alive

Toxins of love surged through raging veins,
longing for his embrace, fighting impending urges
he tended her wound, with soft sensual lips
stroked her pale skin, whispered gentle hushes

Soft moans an affirmation of  desires
she retaliated with vigor stroking his back
tracing his spine with velvety fingertips,
panting breath, a savaging kiss

They lay in a bed of soft green ivy
tangled bodies, roaming limbs
Creeping,
   Crawling,
     Climbing
       Upward
         Higher
  captured, shrieks of delight...

  1. I guess that slick tongue
Allowed them to pop a lung
    With such a passion
They sure aren't bothering to dress to any fashion haha

    1. Pat,

I don't think fashion was the top priority! Thanks for dropping in but, it was a fun write.

  2. Truuuuuuuuedessa! This was slow and sensual, like making an aromatic curry, like dressing (or undressing) with a garter belt! The sting of the Cupid's arrow is more than remedied by the man with slow moves.

The ending made me want to jump my husband, but I'll have to wait until he gets back from the store! Really great, T. Peace, Amy

  4. I like the passion and build up ~ I have one suggestion that I would like to pass on to you: to write in the present tense is more powerful than the past. Try to experiment and see the results ~

    Have a lovely week ~

    1. Hi Charles,

Thank you for the comment and yes, it does reach both elements of love. The pain of loving so deep it hurts and yet, finding the beauty within the arms of love.
