Love Letters for dVerse June 4, 2013

Awake in crumpled sheets
wafer thin, fragile cry
writing love letters from my heart
where to start, where to end
black ink drips from  a leaky  pen
how do I express all that's within

teary eyes, I slip into a dream
you are hovering in the wings
to ease my tormented soul
gently plucking my heartstrings
warm kisses , our tongues ignite
increasing the tempo of desire

dark hours, ours bodies entwined
quivering to the rhythm of the night
even if it is just a figment of my mind
waltzing on the edge of insanity
you take my hand,  humming in my ear
an enchanted melody...

passions mounting, a fountain of love
overflowing basin from deep within
intoxicating drink makes my head spin
shameless , my soul in nakedness sings
a rush of pleasure, surely this cannot be a sin

falling
       falling
            falling

into a magical dream-scape
tranquility embraced in your arms
whispering your name in the misty air
luminous eyes, I behold a new horizon
if this is a dream please wake me not
drifting  back into a lucid state

    2. Good morning... given technology today, they are probably love emails and love twitters... :op

Love letters used to be the thing, however. I'm sure it's a lost art.

Thank you for stopping by my place! :o)

      I will return!!

    3. Hi Red Shoes,

Thanks for visiting..I think you are right about love emails and tweets..it is an electronic world..a lost art perhaps, but at least the words are not a lost art as they reside in the heart..something to ponder..

I was more than happy to visit your place..interesting place you have going.

      Hope to see you soon..

  7. So with your stream
You are entranced in a dream?
    A love letter to it
    That is sure a hit
    Findings such arms
    That raise no alarms
    Would sure be the way
    To brighten ones bay
But instead the dreams go bust
    Or wither away and rust
If I only had a buck
For each time i'd have a big truck lol
    That just popped out
    Care to have a trout?

    1. Hi Pat,

      I've told you I'm a dreamer
      and sometimes a screamer
one needs to find a way
      to keep the dream alive
at least one has to try
      care to have a trout..(lol)
if you're cooking I'll try it out...

see you in the dream world
where we can make our cash
      I'm glad you forgot about
      that other plan..something
      about cat burglar..(laughing)

    2. I never forget about the plan
Actually came up with a new one I'm a fan
But a bit underhanded I suppose
So I will file it away in my criminal rows
      A screamer you say?
My not shy at your bay hahahaha
      Think I'd let that go?
      here at you show

    3. I was hoping you would forgot that plan
but, now it seems you have a new one
in your land, will the cat have lots
of white sand, to squish between his toes
best you leave the screamer thing alone
or I will come to your shore and rant..

(laughing) have a great day at your bay...

  10. There is an element of surprise in this for me because you've written a sensitive love poem, yet it is crisscrossed with dark images. I like that!

  11. Yup! Trudessa, you sure evoke here a time of passion...is the word "unbridled". I remember when I dropped the reins, and my horse WAS unbridled. It is then I found the meaning of the word. --grin!

  12. The challenge in writing a letter to capture all the joy of love can be as difficult as capturing a dream - I like how your first stanza starts. I hope you got it down in that letter :-)
