Lighthearted

John Constable Wikimedia

in a dreamy sky two lighthearted fools meet
shimmering moonbeams stirring their hearts
filled with lofty thoughts, spirits softly greet
whimsical adventures, creative works of art

drums of a different beat, inspiring dance
lyrical harp, resounding joy, shooting stars
musical notes fill the air, whispering romance
taking flight, spreading wings, flying to mars

caught in the grey mist of summer nights
lingering thoughts of you play in my head
arousing sensations, climbing new heights
drifting clouds, softness feather light  bed

two light hearted fools,  kindred souls
meshing together we become whole

  1. Truedessa, I really like the playfulness of this poem. Not a bad thing to be a 'light-hearred fool,' I don't think. I love 'spreading wings, flying to Mars.'

  4. two light hearted fools as one
Doesn't sound like a bad deed to be done
As long as no martians came into play
That may just ruin their day
Thoughts a plenty would surely linger around
    two together could astound
    Whole in a mesh
    Flesh to flesh

    1. No martians or they might have to run
or should I say fly to another planet
      perhaps, Jupiter or Venus.

Either way they'd never be bored

    3. That is true as they fly about
perhaps, they would find a new
      planet of their own..so many
      things to discover...

  10. ...it's heart warming to note how the clouds & sky are often a witness to the communion of two mates in love... sometimes, i dream to be a cloud so i can see how love can gather strangers to make a match after heaven.... loved this.... tender & beautiful... smiles...

    1. Good Morning Kelvin,

He who sports a mustache:)..I agree wouldn't it be great to be a cloud for a day traveling the heavens. When I fly I am always in awe of the clouds..it is different looking down at them but, they still hold that magic that makes one dream.

Have a great day my friend in your part of the world!
