Life is a Journal

I write believing every day
should be a new poem
in the book of life

each word, line and verse
creating  new adventures
on crisp white pages

a  poet of consciousness
power to teach, heal & feel
chapter after chapter

I fear struggling days pages torn
crumpling sheets of sorrow & pain
inserting a page break

scribbling heartfelt messages
stretching my imagination
exploring forms & songs

I will continue to write
until  my journey ends
leaving a legacy behind

to know me you only need
to read between the lines..

  3. To know you're a poet, I have only to read these lines! Great manifesto - so much soul, so much about the journey and the realization of you along with your poetry. You let us see how it is the journey of the poet and not the destination. I really enjoyed it. Well done!

  11. Yeah that is the way, words shining through no matter the day. Whether it is sunny and bright or we just want to hide away in the night, a bump in the road or not, still writer mode will journal it all hot to trot. Except maybe when in the night you play, may be too busy whacking to write at your bay haha

upon sunrise or sunset we will have a say
in the land of nod, one or two can slip away..
