Under a Supermoon I Wonder

photo taken my me last night

Sleepless,  I hear your whispers  in a summer breeze
night presses onward ,  eyes wide I think of you
super moon illuminates above  green trees
gravitational pull draws me near
and I wonder

waves of emotion rise and fall within my soul
glowing in the heavens, an aura of power
magnetic attraction, a force so bold
I cling, to my hopes and dreams
and I wonder

feeling your  radiant warmth in a distant sky
I long to hear your words,  to sing our song
golden moon dust, fills my misty eyes
adventure awaits, the choice is mine
and I wonder

I can grow fins and dive deep into the blue-ocean
or sprout feathered wings and soar new highs
I can taste your lips a magical love potion
lying in your arms finding paradise
and I wonder

If, I close my eyes would I return to slumber
how many heartbeats until I drift to sleep
faith is a hard thing, listening to thunder
I know you are out there thinking of me
and I wonder

Believing is the gateway to believing

    1. Hi Alex,

I do like to ponder from time to time and the full moon always seems to draw me into the splendor of the unknown.

  2. Truedessa, this certainly IS magical. And yes, believing is the gateway to believing. The choice is ours, and it leads us to beautiful places!

  5. Believing sure is the gateway and that belief can sure make things come to fruition, just have to hold on and dive or fly, then two as one can sure watch the night sky.

  6. I love this. The visuals, the soft rhyme-play, the melodic rhythmic effects, the play on words and themes like the tides and moondust... I love all of this.

  7. I felt the yearning in this, and the insecurity of love. I too like the rhymes and the emotions that emerge under the moon. I really enjoyed reading this.

  8. My dear friend,

And with the glowing of the supermoon, your thoughts are stirred with hope, with wonder, with yearning of answers in the belief of dreams.

Truly, a poignant, magical, lucid poetry that dances into the mind, the heart, the soul. Thank you.

With my cup of coffee grasped firmly in hand
I look to the skies to understand
Ah, tis the night of the supermoon
And I listen so closely to nature's tune
    Supermoon grasp my heart
Tell me our world is not torn apart.

    In kindness,

    Gary :)
