Chasing Dreams in a Drifting Sea

I want to feel the sun
but, all I see are clouds
I wonder where the journey goes
I wonder where it ends
I am but a vessel in a drifting sea
chasing rainbows in the land of make believe

loving you with a full heart
it's the only way I  know
letting my emotions flow
I can't let your go

I want to feel the sun
but, all I feel is rain
I wonder where the journey goes
I wonder where it ends
I am but a vessel in a drifting  sea
chasing rainbows in a land of make believe

Loving you seems easy
some may call me a fool
the world can be cruel
Sometimes we need to break the rules

I want to feel the sun
but, all I see are clouds
I wonder where the journey goes
I wonder where it ends
I am but a vessel in a drifting sea
chasing rainbows in a land of make believe

crystal visions before my eyes
believing we are kindred souls
your words make me whole
for that  dream I gladly pay the toll

I want to feel the sun
but, all I feel is rain
I wonder where the journey goes
I wonder where it ends
I  am but a vessel in  a drifting sea
chasing rainbows in a land of make believe

Loving you with a full heart
I need you to know
 I can't let you go
to you my heart I bestow

Note: Sharing with Poets United ~ I am not sure if everyone can see the video so I posted the poem as well. They are two slightly different versions as I couldn't decide which one I liked better. All pictures are my own except the blue rose as that artist is unknown.  Thank you for visiting.

  7. A lovely presentation, Truedessa. Some wonderful lines, and it would be nice to hear it sung! No sun here this morning, so I could really get into your thoughts! Smiles.

    1. Hi Mary, those cloudy days like to linger for a bit, but I guess it makes the sun feel twice as nice.
