In Silence - I Hear

Pic personal collection

In silence I  gaze  upon  still  waters
holding  an envelope of hopes and  dreams
blue  heron watches  from   marshy  quarters
the  clock  strikes three  all  is not  as  it seems

In silence, birds sing I am not  alone
fresh  ashes  symbol  of my intentions
a journey quest  into  the  vast  unknown
slow rhythmic breathing releasing tensions

In silence, I  blow  kisses  to  the  wind
carrying  my  voice on  the wings of  change
honoring  visions ,  mother  nature  grins
aligning  thoughts  a  time  to  rearrange

seven  messages, words drawn from  the  heart
in silence I sense calmness, a fresh start

  6. I like your sonnet, Truedessa. Silence and peace of mind are often necessary before new steps can be taken.

  7. In silence, so many beautiful things can take place. It is only in silence that we can appreciate such things as the birds singing, for example. And so true that in silence we can return to inner calmness & give ourselves a fresh start. This is a wonderful poem for this time of year, Truedessa!

    1. Mary,

On this day there was a sense of peace and complete silence it was as if time stood still. I just breathed in the moment.

  10. This is so deep, Truedessa and is, I think, my favourite of yours. I especially love the coming with messages, and the aligning of spirit, as Nature grins. (How she must appreciate those of us who are trying so hard to hear and honor her.)

    1. Thank you Sherry, I knew my friend would understand this journey. It is hard when we try to honor mother earth and her call.

  15. There truly is something about a walk in nature, by a pond, watching the birds, that calms the spirit. I know it is my "go to" place. Beautiful sentiments.
