My philosophy of dreams

I believe in dreams do you
when I am sleeping
my vision is vivid

I believe dreams
hold the keys to life
found in REM moments

which door will you open

I believe dreams
open the flood gates
swimming  in  the spiritual realm

I believe dreams
allow me to fly in a satin sky
with the constellations my guide

which journey would you choose

I believe dreams
ignite the chambers of my mind
thinking outside the box

I believe dreams
allow my heart to beat faster
breathing in new life

which storyteller would you call upon

I believe dreams
stir a potpourri of energy
creating  a world of magic

my vision is vivid
when I am sleeping
I believe in dreams do you

  1. I believe that dreams convey messages. I think a lot of times they bring forward many of the things that sit on our subconcious that we do not give thought to. I think they bring out our hopes and fears, and sometimes carry messages from beyond.

  5. Who was it that wrote "in dreams begin responsibilities"? Or maybe it's not responsibilities so much as possibilities. Which door will we open? Dreams are so important. Thank you for sharing this.

  6. You have a new title--Dreamistress; & yes, your lines between the stanzas are unique, clear, insightful. A lot of my poetry is whelped by my dreams.
They probably have medical degrees in "Dream Interpretation". Dream on, sweet lady, as we cheer your results.

  7. dreams are fascinating - i still remember a dream that i dreamed very often when i was a kid - and wonder about the meaning... i also think that in dreams the soul is wide awake and works through the happenings of the day... nowadays i very seldom remember a dream once i wake...

  8. I believe dreams are connections between various levels of consciousness and other worlds. They do not need to be understood, simply recognised and honoured.

There are so many good things to be realized in a dream. The above has more for me for it is a developmental stance for the better. Great thoughts Truedessa!

  10. I usually don't remember my dreams (as in 99 out of 100), and when I do it's invariably a violent dream. It's like I'm blessed I don't remember my dreams if you know what I mean.

  12. Dreams can sure show us a lot and tell us things we may not have though about awake. They can be fun too.

  15. Periodically, I work with my dreams and have learned so many lessons from them...little glimpses into our subconscious and gifts from above. My most recent novel was such a gift. I crawled out of bed and outlined it!

  16. My comment went away
    Try again, I say!

    I believe in dreams
    It seems
    Dreams are real
    They make you feel
    As you embrace
    The grace
    Of a place
    You face
    Dreams are my reality
    The focus I truly see.

My prose that got eaten by the blogging machine were better than that. Maybe I need a rhyming cat.

Thanks for your poetic words, Trudessa
As for your real name, I can only guess her....

    " I believe dreams
allow me to fly in a satin sky
    with the constellations my guide"

  18. I don't dream very often, but occasionally I do have meaningful dreams. Receive messages, if you will. I do believe in dreams, and I believe we should all think outside the box a little more - in dream and out.

Many of my dreams are silly and meaningless images but then again sometimes my dreams reveal things to me, answers, clues to what is bothering me, encouraging or warning me. One of the coolest dreams I ever had was me telling myself something in a pun. Cool poem.

Interesting how ancient societies assumed that dreams were messages, but today, most people ignore them completely. I'm not sure that all dreams have meaning, but I have no doubt that some dreams have significance. Your poem gives much to think on!
