Imperfections

through the looking glass
a different dimension of me
soft reflections of who I am
longing for you to touch me
lightly with your fingertips
tracing my imperfections
against my nakedness
can you feel me
the true me
I wish not
to hide
open
your
eyes
and
you
will
see
me

  16. A true gift, especially to oneself! I like the mirror shape and the stunning illustration. I wish I could touch all the places on my back that have been surgically repaired. Or that someone else would touch them to show me.

  20. Beautiful opening line - we need to love ourselves in our truest form i suppose and that can be a dialogue..and not always an easy one..it is sometimes surreal catching our own eyes in the mirror but shouldn't be avoided perhaps? a shining write..
