Beyond the Stars

pic credit unknown

and the mistress of the moon
whispered  time is now, love is here
no need to worry about the monsoon
I hold back the tide, of your rolling tears
here we stand in the wonder of June
burn the sage and wisdom will appear
listen a whimsical song, a druid's tune
can you see the vision, it becomes clear

lost souls vulnerable in the veil of night
entwined together they  sing a  lover's song
bright  luminous spheres, blue shades of light
capture summer's glow,  can passion be wrong
on wide scaly wings, they truly take flight
following the mystic gong, two hearts strong
opening dreamways, discovering delights
beyond the stars is where they belong

can you see the vision, it becomes clear
beyond the stars is where they belong

Author's note: This was inspired by a post I recently read  ~ thanks Edward
The Blind Lantern

This just happens to have some synchronicity with a short story that I have
written and re-written..I guess it is a work in progress."Beyond the Stars"

Happy Sunday and thanks for reading...

    1. Hi Donna,

The first verse was sort of mystical, it just was..

  2. This is so magic and wonderful... love what the moon can bring, tells me to go barefoot in dew... Here the night is not dark enough in summer to meet the moon.

  3. The clearer the vision the more one can be riddled or find clarity, or both.

  4. I concur with all the compassionate comments here and yes, the play on sight versus seeing is very eloquent...what is it about us humans that keeps us going despite ourselves sometimes...and when we're expressed as summer at night, we are a joyful unfurling of said moonlight, are we not...? :)

    1. Hi Edward, Interesting thoughts as always. I think we all feel the need to unfurl our wings and soar and that is what keeps the human spirit going.

Thanks again for entertaining my muse. You are too kind :)

  11. A magical atmosphere that soothes the soul. There is such tranquility in the tone of each line... as if "the mistress of the moon" was a caring mother... making sure her babes sleep without fear of storms...

  13. A lovely piece - filled with wonderful musical notes and infused with the kind of quiet magic - that makes you want to sigh, serenely - much like a, long ago, bedtime story.
