    1. That is so true Susan, I was at a flower festival and I just had to capture that bee in a sea of violet blue.

  4. A truly delightful picture you have created with words - and our grape hyacinths have just started to bloom. (As a child I thought they were called grey pythons, and couldn't understand the name.)

    1. You are starting spring and we are heading into our fall. I think the only thing in bloom will be mums, but they do come in some vibrant hues. The hyacinths have an intoxicating scent.

  16. Just lovely, Truedessa! Your poem creates a vivid image with an important truth sparsely stated. I could have kicked off a great science lesson with my third graders using this (with permission, of course) or tackled a poetry lesson (which always intimidated the hell out of me). Heck, I'd have had my kiddos write poetry in science! Which we actually did on occasion. Have a great day!
