One More Dream

free images

please, just one more dream
will you bestow a precious rose
let us sing, under moonbeams

silent memories, dying scream
tears of sorrow, has time froze
please, just one more dream

songs drift along the stream
from your lips, a melody flows
let us sing, under moonbeams

healing pools, eyes softly gleam
thorns no longer pierce, love grows
please, just one more dream

heartfelt prose, key words redeem
rays of light, celestial spirits glow
let us sing, under moonbeams

in a slumber, all is not as it seems
i wish not for love to decompose
please, just one more dream
let us sing, under moonbeams

  11. Your words took me to thoughts of death - a dying one asking for one more dream under moonbeams. Your words touched me and I think they are beautiful.

    1. Hi Myrna,

      That is an interesting perspective, as often those with illness long for that dream or last wish.

  18. I feel hopeful reading this, Truedessa. That "one more dream" testifies that we have never-ending dreams to aspire as long as we are alive.

    Love the rhymes and the rhythm all throughout.
