Tapping to the Sugar Maples

pic credit - Truedessa's Collection

in a cloudless sky
an autumn day calls
come to the mountains
breathe in the fresh air
take in the rich hues of life
fall into the lush landscape
of a sun-kissed valley
dance in the arms of nature
taste the sweetness
of maples

When I was a child I remember being fascinated by the idea that maple syrup came from a tree...it's still pretty amazing. A beautiful slice of the wonder of autumn!

  3. Gorgeous. I would love to. I asked for a shot of maple in my coffee this morning. That helped, lol.

  4. This is beautiful. On this side of the world our maples are decorative and the syrup usually artificial, but you have evoked the reality so well. I do love the aboreal fireworks of autumn. So much.

  5. I love the compact shape of your quadrille and the personification of autumn - the idea that it's calling us to join in the dance. I also liked the ending - with teh sweetness of maples.

  7. Hi Truedessa - driving through and seeing the expanse of Autumnal colours is always just wonderful - chilly outside, clear blue skies, wonderful amber, ruby colours and then the aroma of scrunched leaves on earth ... as we walk ...

    Cheers Hilary
