Reflections

Tranquility, on water's edge
silently waiting under grey sky
you bring a promise, a pledge
nearby, budding willow cries

silently waiting under grey sky
reflections of who we really are
nearby,  budding willow cries
beyond dark clouds, shining star

reflections of who we really are
walking a thin line at twilight
beyond dark clouds, shining star
on hopeful wings we take flight

walking a thin line at twilight
truth found in the looking glass
on hopeful wings we take flight
new life in blades of fresh grass

truth found in the looking glass
transition, spring is now calling
new life in blades of fresh grass
sunlight awakens, new dawning

  10. You are always so good at doing wonders with circles, cycles, and yes, reflections... I see the Wheel turning in your poem, reminding me that will continue to happen--some days will be dark, others bright with blooms--but life will always be... in one way or another.

  19. I think we always get an assurance of the rightness of the world as we observe nature as opposed to the ugly world we have created for ourselves. Let's hope it can always teach us lessons. Beautifully written Truedessa.

  20. A transcendent piece. Reflections often take us to a place of transcendence ... and this poem makes that point, beautifully. Lovely writing, Truedessa.

  23. Yummy sounding poem. Finding reflections everywhere with your words, I still look out on what is new. I'm surprised to see both at once.
