Harbor of Dreams

Truedessa's Collection

eyes of heaven laden with tears
filling thirsty rivers and streams
waiting for light to reappear

brighten my days, oh golden sphere
sailboats carry unfulfilled dreams
eyes of heaven laden with tears

drifting to some faraway pier
in a harbor of blue, hope gleams
waiting for light to reappear

beyond dark clouds, the sky is clear
dreams believed lost can be redeemed
eyes of heaven laden with tears

love softly whispers, in my ear
breathing in life or so it seems
waiting for light to reappear

embracing hope, dispelling fears
brighten my days, oh golden sphere
eyes of heaven laden with tears
waiting for light to reappear

  1. I so hope that golden sphere shines on you, on us all, dries our tears and ushers in rainbows...

  2. Hi Truedessa - today we need more light to embrace hope, dispelling fears ... we have more tears here than we care for ... somehow we have to turn people's minds to care and compassion and love ... Hilary

  8. I love the waiting for light to reappear.........and we do see it, as people rise up , together and individually, to do the right thing.

  9. I think we do have to find a way to embrace hope...as we wait for light once more to appear. I hope I will see this light yet in my lifetime! Sigh.

  16. Light will always reappear. I'm savoring that literally now that it's almost summer. My mood has never been brighter, and this poem definitely helped keep that inner light sparkling.
