I Wonder

Late  at night I think about you and I
wonder do you think about me?

Under a starry sky,  I wonder what
resides  beyond the milky way?

Under a full moon, I wonder will
beams of light calm an angry sea?

When the planets align, I wonder
will we then meet face to face?

When autumn is in full bloom
will we miss a lost summer day?

I wonder, do you see castles in
the clouds, or am I the only one?

I wonder do you believe in dragons
and mystical happenings?

Late at night dreaming, I wonder
what is fantasy and reality?

I feel change is upon us,
do you feel it too?

author's note:  I Wonder by Rodriguez came
to mind,  I hope you enjoy the song.

  1. Some questions arise that are so you; sweet. Yes, I have felt the shifts changes in reality for two decades--but global warming international terrorism distract me often

    1. Glenn, I wonder about all these natural disasters. Where is it all going?

  2. The question whether others believe in dragons (or whatever) is one I would not want to ask another because I would be afraid they would reject whatever answer I think is true. Then the question of fantasy and reality appears should we hear the other person's answer.

    1. Good questions, I enjoy a good conversation even when exploring the possibility of dragons. Dragons are symbolic in many cultures, so, yes I believe they are there in some form. Mystical beasts that perhaps guard gateways in dreams.

  4. Don;t wonder too far, you might get lost. Had to...lol...sure a little wonder can't hurt as what one wants to be reality can keep them going or awake at their sea.

  5. So sweet, and I love the reminder of the song by Rodriguez. I think I might put it on the update on the prompt. The thought of sitting under a starry sky to wonder...

    1. Hi Bjorn, it seems like the perfect song for the prompt. I thought of making a list of I Wonders. There is something magical about wondering under the stars. Maybe, I will wonder under a full moon.

  6. Lovely as always.
Today's realities seems unbelievable enough to be fantasy.
Have a day filled with sparkle.

Dreamers will continue dreaming and life will still move on its own momentum!

  9. Change is upon us, sooner than we expected it. I wonder too what lies ahead for we have waited too long to try to slow the pace of planetary stress.

  14. I've asked a few of those myself, Truedessa. And as far as being a dreamer? You're not the only one. But you appear to be a good one! Nicely done.

  18. You remind us of the fact that the real question is where our fantasies take us. Fantasies can be so much, but really, there is only fantasy love made. And so it is with poems.

  22. You had me at full stop at the first two lines, Truedessa. I do wonder about several past loves and do they think ever about me ~ even though I am happily married to the best guy possible. I don't think you love and forget, ever. I do wonder about what lies beyond the Milky Way, and I believe there is truth somewhere in dragons. Mostly I wonder what is the meaning of it all; and if there is no meaning, does it matter? Perhaps it's enough that I got to be and wondered at the Milky Way as a river of bright stars as I lazily swung on a high swing from my grandmother's apple tree. Have a good one!

    1. Fundy, These are questions we all wonder about. I see the stars as dream beads to our awakening. Somr dreams will burn bright and some will fade into the darkness of night.

      Enjoy your week!

  23. LATE to the reading, apoligies, Truedessa. Too much fun on Cape Cod for the past two weeks..never even made it to OLN. BUT -- I'm back ... and so glad to read your post here. I especially like these lines
"When the planets align, I wonder
will we then meet face to face?"
On a similar vein....we have a painting called Two Faces where the heads are upside down to each other...and it got me to wondering, if this earth is round....does that mean as I'm standing here....way way way under my feet, if I dig all the way through, are my feet on top of your head? Are you standing up on exactly the other side of the earth...which would mean, to me, you would be upside down? Smiling I am. See how your questions got me to pondering? :)

    1. This comment made me wonder! Perhaps, I am standing on my head, but what if I was actually standing on my head in yoga, would that then make me standing on my feet? I wonder...
