  3. This stopped me in my tracks, like a perfect ruby in a museum display case, Truedessa. You've captured the heart and beauty of a winter's night. If I were still teaching, I would have hung this on my classroom wall and had my students read it, discuss it, illustrate their own copies, and then challenge them to write poems in a similar form on whatever topic spoke to them (with your permission, of course!). It would be a wonderful jumping off point all across the curriculum. We would have flown and had so much fun with this lovely winter poem.
