Beyond the Heart, Never Apart

courtesy of free-photos

A dragon flies two heart entwined in flight
Tamsin and Aden waiting to soar new heights
between rippling oceans and deserts sands
forever reaching for the others hand

dreaming in another realm, a planet of blue
starlit crystals in a cosmic twilight dew
Tamsin and Aden navigate an amethyst sky
on wings of a dragon with mystical eyes

searching the stars for their hearts desire
dawn awakening to passions burning fires
a soul love, stronger than any human bond
ripples of emotions floating on a lotus pond

for in the heart, their tale began to grow
basking in the sun and moon's warm glow
seeking the heavenly garden of Eden
in faraway lands, they are still believing

crossing the bridge between two worlds
allowing their dreams to gently unfurl
a man with a story evolving in his heart
a woman who felt him from the start

where the story goes, only they know
soaring wherever the wind doth blow
awakening to the frequency of love
Tamsin & Aden glisten in stars above

author's note:

Inspired by Dragon of the Stars by Alex J Cavanaugh
After I read Dragon of the Stars I wanted the story to continue.
Alex surprised me and  generously provided a short story "Dragon's Destiny".
It seems my muse has decided the story should continue in the form of a short story
"Beyond the Stars", until then I offer you this poem.  Thank you for visiting!

Gently caressing the hearts of two young lovers in such beautiful combinations of word-craft in all of them, True! You have a classic way with words, Ma'am! Yes, Alex will certainly love this!

  3. Forever reaching for the others hand - such true words and perhaps why Tamsin and Aden still haunt you.
I am honored and touched that my stories about those two captured you so completely.

  15. Well done, YOU, Truedessa. Some epically beautiful lines in this. Though, I'd have to say, my favorite is: "forever reaching for the others hand" ... sigh ... lovely.
