Sing me a song
sing me a song
sing me a song of the harmonic trees
sing me a song in an ocean breeze
sing me a song that
will set me free
sing me a song that
will bring you to me
Sing me a dream
sing me a dream
sing me a dream of the freshwater streams
sing me a dream of worlds unseen
sing me a song that
will set me free
sing me a song that
will bring you to me
Sing me a song
sing me a song
sing me a song in times of uncertainty
sing me a song on shores of humanity
sing me a song that
will set me free
sing me a song that
will bring you to me
Sing me a dream
sing me a dream
sing me a dream of mountains to climb
sing me a dream of life's next rhyme...
sing me a song that
will set me free
sing me a song that
will bring you to me
bring you to me, bring you to me....bring
you......to me....
author's note: I was meditating and drumming
and my drum seemed to have a melody. I found myself singing
along...I left it in raw form to honor the gift of song...

A very beautiful song indeed. I loved this and can see you, drumming and singing, as I read........
ReplyDeleteIt’s beautiful. Will you record it and post it?
ReplyDeleteThe song is beautiful, Truedessa! It's amazing that it just flowed from you ~ Well, amazing in that I can't imagine something like that flowing from me. I found the phrase "harmonic trees" mesmerizing. I'm going to have the sound of moving trees in the wind in my mind all evening! I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour poem/song is lovely and works well with my current focus on Simon & Garfunkel.
ReplyDeleteA great flow indeed. See, we always knew that life rhymed.

ReplyDeletesing me a dream of life's next rhyme.. like that..actually would have loved to hear the audio version!!
ReplyDeleteLove the yearning in the song. And so many images here are of dream indeed in this troubled times. A beautiful flow.
ReplyDeleteI can really feel how meditative this is... I felt the drums while reading it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful gift of word and song you have shared with us...thank you!
ReplyDeleteNice. Your drum wrote a nice song for you. And I think your connection to nature played a big part of it as well.
ReplyDeleteMusic bridges the gaps, brings us closer, builds the connections. Like the chorus in this.
Got your email. Will respond here in just a bit, but I have been thinking about it.
