The Monarch and the Astronaut

The Sunday Muse - link

lift -off, monarch and the astronaut
traveling space, carrying a dream
drifting away, would it matter not
slumbering under silver moonbeams

traveling space, carrying a dream
safely tucked in their warm cocoons
slumbering under silver moonbeams
listening for the hum of celestial tunes

safely tucked in their warm cocoons
breaking seams, butterfly emerges
listening for the hum of celestial tunes
fluttering in space, break free she urges

breaking seams, butterfly emerges
awestruck, the astronaut begins to cry
fluttering in space, break free she urges
trapped in his human shell, he sighs

awestruck, the astronaut begins to cry
perhaps, there is hope for man-kind
trapped in his human shell, he sighs
winged beauty, you're a special design

perhaps there is hope for man-kind
drifting away, would it matter not
winged beauty, you're a special design
lift-off, monarch and the astronaut

Can a Point of View Be Viewable?

Truedessa's collection

How can I describe a sunset that's indescribable?
How can I find the right words, when I am wordless?
How can I touch your heart, when it is untouchable?
How can you taste life's sweetness, untasted?
How can I make you feel what I am feeling?
How can I make you hear, what is unheard?
How can I make you see, wonders unseen?
How can I capture the uncapturable?

Quivering Sails - Mysterious Tale

courtesy of Pixabay

On a far away ship in the Caribbean sea
in the early morn', exactly half past three
mighty sails quiver, under a Halloween moon
beautiful siren sings a bewitching tune
captain and crew disappeared that day
for their lost souls, the islanders silently pray

written for dVerse
Quadrille #90 - 44 words
incorporating the word quiver

Author's note:  I had trouble with the last line below is my other choice. Please let me
know your thoughts.

what happened out there, the islanders won't say

Threshold of Reality

The Architect by Erik Johansson

I am the architect to a magical world
breaking boundaries of imagination
drawing outside the lines of limital space
adventures unfurl in a dimly lit room

I am the architect in the journey of  life
framing my intentions so you might see
my structural plan is simple, yet complex
rocky moments when under construction

I am the architect of my deepest dreams
traveling where there are no floor plans
breaking ground in a frost filled meadow
how far must I dig to find the road to you

I am the architect of my poetic consciousness
for in my heart resides the blueprint to love
words fall in a steady procession at my feet
struggling for the precise words, I begin again

"let the dawn wait, until we drift in perfect song"

Majestic View

Truedessa's Collection

Standing
 on the summit
surrounded by majestic beauty
falling in love with the view
autumn leaves me breathlessly

A Dream Away

Rebeca Cygnus Photography

Exhausted,  I wipe the last tears
of the day from my eyes, slipping into
a dream under a hunter's moon

Awakening slowly to a new reality
I arise the navigator, on a lucid
road of mysterious adventures

Following the music of my heart
under an October sky, I see a
road stretched out before me

A flock of starlings fly overhead
to whom will your inner voice trill
sing the song of your soul's desire

I wonder how far I must travel
to realize my highest peak
of consciousness is only a
dream away
