Dancing in the rain Adrian Borda |
it's been a while
since I've seen your smile
your words echo in moments of silence
I can still feel the pain & joy in the rain
I'll talk to you when I can
it's been a while
since we shared our thoughts
I gave you my heart, my soul
I let you into my secret world
It's been a while
since we dared to dream
caught in the magic of words
sleeping in sheets, curled
It's been a while
since I've seen your smile
your words echo in moments of silence
I can still feel the pain & joy in the rain
I'll talk to you when I can...
It's been a while
since, I've heard your songs
entwined in the beauty of us
in stillness, our notes
swirled
It' s been a while
since, you drifted
away
I'm still here, waiting to fly
in the wings,
curtains furled
It's been a while
since I've seen your smile
your words echo in moments of silence
I can still feel the pain & joy in the rain
I'll talk to you when I can...
It's been a while
since, I sent you a smile
hope in a luminous sky
forgiveness in a misty pearl
Let us dance again and feel the rain!
Let us dance again and feel the rain!

DeleteThis is so sweet! I especially like this stanza:
ReplyDelete"It's been a while
since, I sent you a smile
hope in a luminous sky

DeleteSo very beautiful. I love the repeated lines. You painted such a contrast between sleeping in sheets curled, and the wings sadly fueled....but hoping to fly. Sigh.

DeleteThis is wonderfully crafted. There is longing in it, but it is tinged with bitter-sweetness ... more sweet than bitter, I think. Beautiful writing.
