Head Bowed, Shall I Pray

The Sunday Muse

In a field of sunflower dreams

sprinkle me with golden beams

summer is tilting further away

sleepy, head bowed, shall I pray

silently wilting in autumn's sun

harvesting seeds, my job is done

I know, I'll see you another day

sleepy, head bowed,  shall I pray

save a packet of magical dreams

scatter me, splitting at the seams

remember the sun is a ray away

sleepy, head bowed,  shall I pray

This train ride

called life

is one bumpy adventure

often our plans get

derailed

we find ourselves

bumbling along

with no direction

that's quite the

bummer

does it mean we

failed

who's to say

sometimes the

bumpiness

bumfuzzles

us

as we find

our way

Zero Lattitude

I perceive the world through mystical eyes

let us sail across the sea, our imaginary line

mapping a place of treasure for you and I

setting our coordinates, searching for  signs

let us sail across the sea, our imaginary line

you are the tempest storm, I am the calm

setting our coordinates, searching for signs

together riding waves, our healing balm

you are the tempest storm, I am the calm

my eyes have beheld an oasis of pleasure

together riding waves, our healing balm

our hearts beating with erratic measure

my eyes have beheld an oasis of pleasure

sing me a song under the crescent moon

our hearts beating with erratic measure

kiss me slowly, with your honey dip tunes

sing me a song under the crescent moon

mapping a place of treasure for you and I

kiss me slowly, with your honey dip tunes

I perceive the world through mystical eyes

Tears Swell

In my dream the darkness came

the tears inside began to swell

I found myself by a wishing well

sorrow has more than one name

from the east a crow appeared

messenger from the sky-world

overhead dark clouds swirled

in mists of grey he disappeared

sipping from the waters of life

leaves cling in the misty dew

visions in a sky of violet blue

spirits awaken to drum & fife

come to me, oh morning, bright

on restless limbs, autumn nears

nature is swiftly shifting gears

who will guide our dreams to light

in my dream the darkness came

who will guide our dreams to light

Sands of Time

It was a wondrous chapter in my life. One,  I never wanted to end.

I fell into the oceans of your poetry and songs.  I felt the ebb and flow

of magical energy walking the shoreline of a distant love.

Our words were made of stardust.  Our souls danced beyond the clouds.

I often re-call all the poetic moments.  The lyrical ballads still beat in

the chamber of my heart.

You,  my untouched love remain a song un-written.
