she navigates the heavenly stars
sitting on the bridge of uncertainty
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars
transcending boundaries, healing scars
a dragon's heart beats eternally
she navigates the heavenly stars
voyage to light, no matter how far
spiraling rings, gateway to eternity
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars
freeing spirits from undue bars
soaring to the edge of insanity
she navigates the heavenly stars
magical wonders in a galactic bazaar
music found in a dreamy guitar
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars
doorway to the universe left ajar
defying the law of gravity
she navigates the heavenly stars
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars

I feel as if your poem is piloting me beyond Venus and Mars. It's such a burst of imagination! I love the galatic bazaars and the doorway to the universe left ajar. Maybe if we all just learn to deal with uncertainty and go along with the ride, who knows what we might find? Using a vilanelle is a lovely way of carrying the message.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is not the destination it is the journey along the way.
DeleteNavigating the galaxy with beautiful word and phrases! Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to visit and leave a comment :)
DeleteThat bridge of uncertainty can be the most scary, yet beautiful, place to sit. I also appreciate that "he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars"--something about the seriousness of the word "pilots" acts as a counterbalance (in a opposites attract sort of way) to her magical navigation of the heavenly stars.
ReplyDeleteI agree the bridge of uncertainty can be scary, yet filled with adventure if the heart is willing.
DeleteWonderful and magic Villenelle, you brought the magic of a divine relationship to lite.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bjorn, just a little addition to a story line already in place.
DeleteThis poem transports me....and I gladly soar toward the stars!
ReplyDeleteMe too Mary, up up and away...
DeleteWith the doorway left ajar, can keep moving ahead with the thought of what's behind still there. A starry affair.
ReplyDeletePerhaps, it is comforting to leave a door ajar in a starry sky. Thanks Pat..
DeleteWonderful cadence in this, largely due, I suspect, to your skillful facility with repetition and rhyme - a characteristic feature of your work that is magical.
ReplyDeleteI loved that 'doorway to the universe left ajar' ... likewise: magical. Another glorious write!
Thank you Wendy, I do like magic when it happens.
DeleteWell done. My compliments to you. You even heightened the mood with the guitar.
ReplyDeleteThank you Martin, who doesn't enjoy the sound of a six string guitar
DeleteWow!! 'a galactic bazaar' stole my heart...this gorgeous poem is the 'doorway to the universe left ajar'...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sumana!
DeleteA lovely romantic space journey!
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe one day there will be romance in space.
DeleteThat is beautiful, Truedessa! I read it this weekend, but the post vanished before I could comment. Honored by your words of Aden and Tamsin's love.
