Intergalactic Heart

she navigates the heavenly stars
sitting on the bridge of uncertainty
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars

transcending boundaries, healing scars
a dragon's heart beats eternally
she navigates the heavenly stars

voyage to light, no matter how far
spiraling rings, gateway to eternity
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars

freeing spirits from undue bars
soaring to the edge of insanity
she navigates the heavenly stars

magical wonders in a galactic bazaar
music found in a dreamy guitar
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars

doorway to the universe left ajar
defying the law of gravity
she navigates the heavenly stars
he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars

I missed the mid-week motif - space
so here is my offering...

  1. I feel as if your poem is piloting me beyond Venus and Mars. It's such a burst of imagination! I love the galatic bazaars and the doorway to the universe left ajar. Maybe if we all just learn to deal with uncertainty and go along with the ride, who knows what we might find? Using a vilanelle is a lovely way of carrying the message.

    1. Sometimes it is not the destination it is the journey along the way.

  3. That bridge of uncertainty can be the most scary, yet beautiful, place to sit. I also appreciate that "he pilots her beyond Venus and Mars"--something about the seriousness of the word "pilots" acts as a counterbalance (in a opposites attract sort of way) to her magical navigation of the heavenly stars.

    1. I agree the bridge of uncertainty can be scary, yet filled with adventure if the heart is willing.

  6. With the doorway left ajar, can keep moving ahead with the thought of what's behind still there. A starry affair.

    1. Perhaps, it is comforting to leave a door ajar in a starry sky. Thanks Pat..

  7. Wonderful cadence in this, largely due, I suspect, to your skillful facility with repetition and rhyme - a characteristic feature of your work that is magical.

I loved that 'doorway to the universe left ajar' ... likewise: magical. Another glorious write!
