In My Dreams

pixabay

In my dreams, time has no limits
traveling past the crescent moon
I'm in your arms in mere minutes
in my dreams, time has no limits
sharing our journey in brief snippets
with the universe we are in tune
in my dreams, time has no limits
traveling past the crescent moon

The Heart Of Love

source unknown

With a swivel blade
I peel the layers
of my skin so you
might touch
 my
     flesh...

My heart ripe, with
the Songs of Solomon

Offering you a taste
of my poetic world

It can't be a sin to
share the seeds of
love

Seven Verses

Seven Verses

I.
Seven years ago,  embarking on a quest
my weary heart was shipwrecked
that winter day,  love drifted away
I took the helm in an uncharted bay

II.

In a poetic land characters came alive
casting my doubts, learning to survive
composing adventures on the high sea
a captain said,  " come sail with me"

III.

Into the night under stars and moon
following the beat of a bluesy tune
two light-hearted fools, sailed the world
seeking the coveted ocean pearl

IV.

Who are we in this vast universe
have we been blessed or cursed
my melancholy heart sings the blues
can our souls ever fill our shoes

V.

Beyond the stars, a dragon takes flight
carrying dreams into the cosmic  night
navigating the stars,  wings unfurled
discovering magic in a parallel world

VI.

Can you feel the songs of my poetic soul
do  you feel the beat of the ocean's roll
beyond the clouds, dancing side by side
through the darkness we saw eye to eye

VII.

Seven verses a testament of  my heart
this journey a wondrous work of art
poetry has filled my life with meaning
a part of me will always be dreaming

Fill Me

courtesy of Pixabay

 fill my eyes
so I might see
heaven's light

fill my ears
so I might hear
music

fill my tongue
so I might taste
life's fullness

fill my heart
so I might feel
true love

fill my nostrils
so, I might smell
nature's gifts

February Moon

February moon, rises in the sky
illuminating heavenly sphere
resting on a chilly winter night
will our coats be warm enough

February moon, be our guide
the snowy ice caps are melting
where the polar bears call home
how can we save what remains

hunger moon - nourish the world

February moon, sing us songs
under a blanket of fresh snow
will there be food to fill empty bellies
how many miles must one roam

February moon, fill our hearts
with the natural wonder of love
paw to paw,  together surviving
the harshness of this new reality

hunger moon - nourish the world

Key To Me

Ben Heine photography

The lady in blue, walks a yellow line
between here and there, it's hard to define

Her heart beats to a melancholy tune
was love some forgotten interlude

resting on the shoulder of a lost dream
skipping stones in a faraway stream

she sings the language of the blues
perhaps, it's time for a new pair of shoes

drifting beyond the veil of the afternoon
in a quiet city street, hope lies strewn

in silent hours, she thinks only of you
wondering if you could ever be true

out of the darkness a crow holds the key
unlocking her captive soul, she flies free
