How do I abide the constraints of time

when all I want to do is fast forward

leaving  this darkness behind me

How do I abide the constraints of love

when all I want to do is sojourn

to you and touch your face

cluster of heavenly stars
counting seven in the night
cupping moonlight in my hand
consciousness a state of mind

contemplating other worlds
courageous, I drift to sleep
collecting stars, saving dreams

Lamb of Thanksgiving

How many lives will be sacrificed

how many empty chairs will there

be around the table of thanksgiving

in the years to come

To mask or not to mask

that is the question many ask

I wonder if it saves a life is it

really too much to ask, it

seems like such a small task

we need to alter our plight

and offer a hand to those

less fortunate

it's not about you and me

it's about unity we are all

in this together

at the table of thanksgiving

what will you contribute

will you offer prayers of

thanksgiving for life, health

family and friends

we as humans are striving to survive

in a world filled with harsh realities

author's note:  Happy Thanksgiving

stay safe, stay well....

lets work together to save lives

November's Song

Cloudy skies offer little warmth

on a cold November day

flaming autumn colors

have faded away

a cardinal sings to her lover

whistling songs of possibilities

red wings begin to flutter

beneath a willow bough

joys of a November day

De is hosting, we are writing a quadrille of 44 words
incorporating a form of possible

author's note:  I came upon
a pair of cardinals playing hide
and seek whistling possibilities
