I perceive the world through mystical eyes
let us sail across the sea, our imaginary line
mapping a place of treasure for you and I
setting our coordinates, searching for signs
let us sail across the sea, our imaginary line
you are the tempest storm, I am the calm
setting our coordinates, searching for signs
together riding waves, our healing balm
you are the tempest storm, I am the calm
my eyes have beheld an oasis of pleasure
together riding waves, our healing balm
our hearts beating with erratic measure
my eyes have beheld an oasis of pleasure
sing me a song under the crescent moon
our hearts beating with erratic measure
kiss me slowly, with your honey dip tunes
sing me a song under the crescent moon
mapping a place of treasure for you and I
kiss me slowly, with your honey dip tunes
I perceive the world through mystical eyes

Author's note: Thank you for your visits! I had a couple of dreams
this week about maps. My mind is swirling with adventure today.
Maps, dreams & vision
One the storm, one the calm, a perfect combination! Good read.
ReplyDeleteWell done! A mystical voyage through the map of form.
ReplyDeleteThis is like a poetic song Truedessa! A beautiful voyage of two!
ReplyDeleteI love "you are the tempest storm, I am the calm." This does read with all the rhythm and rhyme of a song.......beautiful, True.

ReplyDeleteMuch💝love
A nice form for sing-song reading poetry. I am glad you got back to those "mystical eyes." One should travel with high expectations, as if your evading is to a bucket list place. We do that a lot, have to keep updating the bucket list.
ReplyDelete..
An enchanting voyage! Enjoyed the shifting descriptions and the sway of the words.
ReplyDeleteOff on a grand adventure! Reminds me of the adventures of Pat and Truedessa. Miss those.
ReplyDeleteA love poem for travelers of the heart, who of course, are always searching for buried treasure and new lands to explore. Very musical, as others have mentioned, and for me, dream-like. Loved it, especially that very last stanza, so rich with 'honey-dripped tunes.'
ReplyDeleteA perfect form for this romantic, wandering poem.
ReplyDeleteA most stupendous pantoum. Lovely and it just flows .....
ReplyDeleteSure a journey that is well worth exploring again and again.
ReplyDeleteNot a good year for traversing maps and world, though...
