breaking boundaries of imagination
drawing outside the lines of limital space
adventures unfurl in a dimly lit room
I am the architect in the journey of life
framing my intentions so you might see
my structural plan is simple, yet complex
rocky moments when under construction
I am the architect of my deepest dreams
traveling where there are no floor plans
breaking ground in a frost filled meadow
how far must I dig to find the road to you
I am the architect of my poetic consciousness
for in my heart resides the blueprint to love
for in my heart resides the blueprint to love
words fall in a steady procession at my feet
struggling for the precise words, I begin again
"let the dawn wait, until we drift in perfect song"

Oh I have seen this photograph at an exhibition... his photography-art is really fantastic. I love to be an architect of Imagination.
ReplyDeleteMe too Bjorn, let's create a magical land.
DeleteIsn't every poet the architect of a magical world? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment at my place. I appreciated it very much.
I agree every poet has the ability to open the door to that magical place.
DeleteYou are most welcome, I enjoyed your poem.
Sigh. This is so beautiful. I love the last line especially, and that your heart holds the blueprint to love.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry, I feel we are the creator's of our soul's story and in that there is love.
DeleteI enjoyed this. It is a really positive thing to feel that one is the architect of one's own life rather than simply being governed by circumstances one has no control of. It is also nice to think of one being the architect of one's own poems, the artist behind the words!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary, we do have control over some aspects of our lives even when outside forces try to alter our path.
DeleteTo be the architect of imagination, life, dreams, and consciousness. It is all encompassing.
ReplyDeleteThat it is Lori. Thank you for reading.
DeleteI love the repetition in this and the beautiful truth that we are the architect of our dreams and life. This is lovely Truedessa!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carrie, I truly feel we are architects and have the ability to create new roads and bridges to get us to our desired location.
DeleteAnd a wonderful architect you are too. I love how you expanded your gift in so many layers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Vivian. Building a dream one layer at a time.
DeleteYes, an architect of imagination...love it! It is the place where we can set aside boundaries and fly.
ReplyDeleteSo True, opening space to simply be free...
DeleteThis is absolutely stunning! "I am the architect of my poetic consciousness for in my heart resides the blueprint to love."❤️
ReplyDeleteThank you Sanaa

Thank you Toni for your visit and comment.
Delete"in my heart resides the blueprint to love" - wonderful line and it really is the point isn't it? It is what makes of us architects. There is so much to ponder here, and to love. I'm heading back to read it a few more times.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much? Reading it again, that made me smile.
DeleteYou are the architect of amazing and visually stunning words!
ReplyDeleteThank you Alex, Welcome back!

ReplyDeleteThank you Wendy for always leaving wonderful comments.
Deletehow far must I dig to find the road to you - I love that!
ReplyDeleteWell, hopefully, the dig won't be too far.
DeleteLovely! You sustained and developed the metaphor beautifully.
ReplyDeleteYou said you had trouble finding my post last time. That was because you were apparently looking for something other than what I linked to inked to. I have linked to the one you found, for this Pantry, so just a heads-up that you have already seen it. (As to the link I use here, I am asked to supply the url of my website, so I do. It is different from the addresses of my poetry blogs.)
Oh dear, didn't mean to type that 'inked to'! Not sure if it was auotocorrect being weird or my fingers fumbling.
DeleteNo problem Rosemary - thank you for letting me know.
DeleteNicely built.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteI love how you use the phrase ' I am the architect' it gives the poem much weight and direction
ReplyDeleteThank you Jae Rose, I am a fan of repetition.
DeleteWe do create the worlds we inhabit--from the inside out--this is just lovely and ethereal!
ReplyDeleteAudrey, I do think as writers we create magical places all the time. Thanks for visiting and commenting.
