Author's note:  This was written for a blogger friend known

as  Berowne. Sadly, he is no longer with us in this realm.
I felt compelled to write something to honor his life.
I often read his posts and tried to solve his quizzes.

He once posted a story for me and I gladly accepted
the blame. It brought a big smile to my face.

I will miss his stories...

Quietude of Winter

We gather  to celebrate the winter solstice

a time  when  daylight hours dim away

and darkness lingers  upon the land

in quietude we give thanks for wisdom

letting love incubate in silent spaces

withdrawal is essential to renewal

can you feel your heartbeat
can you feel your heartbeat
can you feel your heartbeat
deep within your soul

We gather to celebrate the winter solstice

earth slowly turning towards sunnier days

pausing to sit in the mystery of darkness

nurturing creative energy a place of gestation

drums call forth  the awakening of dreams

time to plant deeper seeds of consciousness

crossing the bridge, carrying a vision

in the sacred circles, threads of hope
connecting heaven and earth in song

spectrum of heavenly stars illuminate

gentle reminder there is always light

in winter's stillness, let peace manifest

lasting footprints for a better world

together initiating transformation

full moon

awakening

aglow in nakedness

resting my heart within your limbs

sighing

glowing

under moonlight

in another season

longing for your tender embrace

dreaming

entwined with yours

magical connection

standing bare and vulnerable

touch me

natures allure
capturing rare moments
in darkness there are rays of light

I turn the pages

of my heart

reading from

a book filled
with love

one beat

meshed with mine

lost in another time

a poetess

a lyricist

in harmony

falling

deeper

into

a sea

of

desire

 

in tune

we sang

of hopes

and dreams

writing letters
bringing forth
words

on wide wings

over a sparkling vista

we soared new

heights

seeking the deeper

meaning of life

following dreams

we met on a star

burning bright

here our tale

really began, seeking

the greatest story

we ventured onward

vibrating with energy

a new world in the

seventh heaven star

of knowing

through Orion's Belt

we slipped into a hole

of wonder...
