Today, I view the moon in her full glory
I should sing her praises for the gift of light
through darkness...
BUT...
Today, I feel the moon her dark side
shadowing my thoughts and heart
in this world of confusion
WHO...
Will give witness to the goodness of life
opening the doorways to the unknown
glowing in heavenly light
WHAT...
will it take for humanity to see
we share this big blue planet
eclipsed in darkness and light
WHEN...
Will the sun warm our hearts
eternal love radiating outwards
to those who only know cold
WHERE...
have all the lost dreams gone
have they fallen into a vast crater
void of time and space
WHY...
Today, must I ride an emotional tide
uncertainty circles, earth is changing
awakening, under a blue moon
awakening, under a blue moon
I think we were on the same wavelength today, my friend. Smiles. I really feel this poem. When indeed?
ReplyDeleteWith compassion we will all see the light.
ReplyDeleteIf only the super blue moon were the answer to all our questions, if it truly woke up the guardians for the earth! Powerful.
ReplyDeleteearth is awakening under a blue moon...
ReplyDeleteYES.
That remarkable moon woke the muse!
ReplyDeleteI specially love the musings that begin with 'where'. Hope that 'changing' is happening right now.
ReplyDeleteYour questions are very effective.
ReplyDeleteQuestions that seem to be asked forever as humans never want to come together and see the light, any light.
ReplyDeletea subtle shift, a rebirthing, with the bloody growing pains of it all - including the frustrations and anger, the rage and despair - and yet the hope and light - awakening to the power of the eternal and most importantly enduring ....
ReplyDeletePowerful format!
ReplyDeleteHi Truedessa - loved the format ... and so clever to think like this ... we need those thoughts to flutter all around the world awakening and giving kindness to one and all - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteVery powerful and meaningful writing! I love it! "I am the Light, the Light I am!" Big Hugs!
ReplyDelete"Today, I feel the moon her dark side shadowing my thoughts and heart in this world of confusion"... this is so beautifully eloquent!
ReplyDeleteI too, ride this emotional roller coaster more often than not.
ReplyDeleteI was ecstatic for the event. I actually work in a big office building and start ridiculously early in the morning so I got to watch the entire eclipse beginning to end.
ReplyDeleteThoughtful piece.
ReplyDeleteAh, if only the beauty of the moon could work magic in people's hearts.
