I am a gardener of dreams
planting seeds in hearts
hoping they will take root
and grow beyond any
expectations
I am a gardener of dreams
nurturing those who have lost
their dreams, weeding out
doubts that try to
strangle potential
I am a gardener of dreams
my garden is filled with wild
and cultivated flowers...
each unique with special
needs
Daisies, roses, sunflowers,
moon-flowers, dandelions
violets, tulips each has
a reason to shine in
the light
I am a gardener of dreams
carrying tools of the trade
spade, rake, spray bottle
and knee pad all to help
make the journey easier
I am a gardener of dreams
often working the night shift
offering you a drink to
quench a drought
I am a gardener of dreams
planting seeds in the dark
whispering in your ear
"All you need do is believe"
sharing with poets-united-midweek-motif-gardens
Thank you for visiting
wishing your fruitful dreams
"I am a gardener of dreams / planting seeds in hearts" The best kind of gardener one can only dream to have. The close is spot on. So true.

ReplyDeleteThat is does Alex! Hope jst needs nurturing.
DeleteWe were certainly in sync today on flowers and gardening weren't we?:)
ReplyDeleteAs always, loved this.
Thanks Sandra m. A fine day for synchronicity.
DeleteOh how I love "I am a gardener of dreams" and the whisper at the end "All you need do is believe." This is just gorgeous, True.
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear friend. Forever connected via a dream.
DeleteSure planting the right dreams can lead to a whole other avenue in the light.
ReplyDeleteThat it can Pat, I hope all your dreams flourish!
DeleteWow! I believe every word of this poem--that you know how to do this gardening, that you invite us each to be the "I" of this poem, whispering in our ears. From start to finish, this is an empowering poem.
ReplyDeleteI love your poem it took me on a journey! I would like to ask you about the stanza where you name different flowers that are in the light. I think it interupts the flow of the whole poem and should be removed. That is just a dumb feeling I got when I read it. I love the idea of being a gardener of dreams how wild would that be? Lol! This might be my fav this week. Hugs!
