Apparition

Apparition in the Woods - Moritz von Schwind, 1858

slipping into lucid dreams a ghost whisper thin
beyond silken veil, in a parallel world
writing poetic verses, songs from within
waiting for you in a bed of roses curled
in another realm, will your heart I win
or are you simply an apparition...

  1. Nice phrase: "songs from within
waiting for you in a bed of roses". I hadn't thought of winning the heart of a ghost before, but I like the idea of it.

  2. Oh the hope of that romance... maybe the hope is more important than reality though.

  3. I love the way your Quadrille slips into the mind like an apparition and then leaves it again with a lasting imprint. I especially like the phrases: 'ghost whisper thin' and 'songs
from within', which make me wonder if the ghost is external or internal.

  12. Your piece speaks to me of one courting the poetic muse - and I know that mine is just one way of looking at it. Your words paint a delicate picture.
