The moon is out tonight, lighting
the way
let us set sail upon our ship of dreams
let 's dance until the moon fades away
casting our net , under golden moonbeams
captain at the helm , he has weathered storms
together they have rode the waves of change
chasing darkness, light swarms in many forms
entering portals, their lives interchange
let us sink into the depth of desire
floating freely , under a million stars
our eyes glowing, quenching our inner fire
lost in a raging sea, we heal our scars
searching our souls, for those hidden treasures
sighing under the moon finding pleasures
let us set sail upon our ship of dreams
let 's dance until the moon fades away
casting our net , under golden moonbeams
captain at the helm , he has weathered storms
together they have rode the waves of change
chasing darkness, light swarms in many forms
entering portals, their lives interchange
let us sink into the depth of desire
floating freely , under a million stars
our eyes glowing, quenching our inner fire
lost in a raging sea, we heal our scars
searching our souls, for those hidden treasures
sighing under the moon finding pleasures

I will be around off and on to read as I am
not feeling well. Thanks for reading.
well his photos played right into you, now didnt they....smiles...
ReplyDeletefirst, there is something def romantic about riding the waves on a pirate ship or an ocean going vessel...def a wonderful place to be with the one you love...
..am watching Obama's address and see a parallel here as to the direction our country is going, but without that, this is a lovely poem for a romantic.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of searching souls for those hidden treasures! They definitely are there if we look. Do feel better, Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteI love the sonnet ~ So romantic to be out on an adventure until the moon fades away ~ I hope you are feeling better ~
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet and tender write... sinking into the depths of desire with that special someone... sigh. Feel better, Truedessa :))
ReplyDeletei want to join the adventure but i am afraid of the big waves haha.
ReplyDeletehope you will feel better soon.
Stunning play on the moon. Feel better, Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteWonderful treasures & pleasures :)
ReplyDeleteNice words, Truedessa!
I like the way your poem echoes others you have written as well as the adventurous tone of your words.
ReplyDeleteWell, I actually thought of Titanic especially with the phrases "The ship of dreams" and "let us sink into the depth of desire
ReplyDeletefloating freely , under a million stars"
Lovely enchanting play of words.
Waves & Moon, a perfect combo to a romantic sail & adventure... the two are just engaging & too affecting for one not to feel the moment.. Always a pleasure to read your tails in poetry form plus with the added delight coming from your almost perfect (if not) rhymes.. Get well soon, my friend! Smiles.

It is so reassuring when the moon is out together accompanying us beaming the darken skies. Wishing you speedy recovery Truedessa! Lovely write!
ReplyDeleteHank
Soul searching and finding pleasure sound good. Your poem is a gentle, yet a passionate dance in the moonlit night.
ReplyDelete-HA
Sorry you don't feel well!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a rare good adventure of Captain Pat and Truedessa.
I thought of the Titanic, and then I noticed that Prajakta thought of the same thing :)
ReplyDeleteFloating freely with no ties that bind, enjoying the sea would sure be the way to me as the moon shines bright. Hopefully the germs hit the road soon.
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful sonnet.. and the ship and captain is right there with you and the moon...
ReplyDeleteQuite an invitation to the night and to the reader. Luscious.
ReplyDeleteSo clever how you find yourself, your constant clear voice, within that stunning image; nice take on it. Thanks for your lovely comment over at my site; seems we are both the adventurous types, & let that malaise, virus, or dark place move on, or through you, & regain the magic of your smile.
ReplyDeleteThis is so romantic and sensual. How can you write so beautifully when you're not even feeling well?
ReplyDeleteHope you get better soon.
excuse me - i have to leave - i wanna be a pirate now... ha - something so dangerously adventurous and romantic to this
ReplyDeletefeel better soon!
ReplyDeletewe are made for adventures :)
a good vogue of adventure here... proves a writer can go anywhere
ReplyDeleteWow, Totomai has actually photographed your ship of dreams. How cool. (Too bad he didnt get one of the elusive Truedessa, LOL.) A beautiful poem and I hope you are soon feeling better, my friend.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty flow to this...hope you're feeling better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely complement between photo and words. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've always been fascinated by the moon and I love the ocean. Your poem is very beautifully capturing both.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will feel better very soon!
