Wolf Moon Howls

Broadening my horizon
I  dare to cross  the threshold
into the land of whispering winds
across a snow laden field
I silently leave my tracks

Under a January full moon
I hear the cry of a lonely wolf
pausing in the journey , I  listen
vibrating drums, lead me forward
teaching me to track my heart

illuminating  portal of change
star gates opening full of energy
shining light in new areas of life
searching hidden desires of my soul
cautiously transcending two worlds

In the shadows of night, I softly sigh
in another world I gave you my heart
take all of me, love I offered freely
let us journey together as one body
healing and mending each other

Great pines filtered moonlight
under a thick blanket of winter
nestling in the  heat of your warmth
snow thunder crackles in the sky
gazing into your eyes I see fire

Awakening in a dream, I breathe
nourishing an appetite for wisdom
under a full moon, howls of devotion
wild spirit roams, seeking pathways
exploring the realms of the unknown

Climbing steadily to the mountaintop
resting on a massive granite boulder
my mind drifts with scents of you
naked in a green spring meadow
I long for a wildflower afternoon

Clouds float by revealing round moon
creating a hunger for new understanding
opening my pouch, offering a pinch of powder
ashes from yesterday, releasing pools of tears
I cry head tilted upward toward the sky world

and I wonder do you still feel me?

  1. This is beautiful. The lover offered every bit of herself and now a wish to be together as one, such bliss and really a masterpiece:)
