Sipping from a Cosmic Cup

thirsty gazing towards the evening sky
wishing for a sip from the cosmic cup
too many questions a heart wonders why
thirsty gazing towards the evening sky
blush of color, shooting star passes by
from that special place, a song rises up
thirsty gazing towards the evening sky
wishing for a sip from the cosmic cup

~
star child wanders lost in the universe
waiting for her dragon to fly her home
singing  from her heart in poetic verse
star child wanders lost in the universe
celestial beings, souls softly converse
seeking light, under a heavenly dome
star child wanders lost in the universe
waiting for her dragon to fly her home

Signals of Distress

Survival basic instincts of the human spirit to carry on
ultimately defeating the odds that try to tip the scales
running a race slow and steady we can persevere
vitality found within each beat of a willing heart
in quiet meditation we find our inner strength
visionaries pave the way for those who cannot see
allowing ourselves to dream of a better world
love and compassion hold the key to survival

Polaris Guides Us Home

our story written in the stars
verses appear from here to Mars
heaven shines with radiant light
heartfelt poetry in the night, true love is ours

finding our way Polaris guides
healing waters found in moon tides
crystalline children of the world
uplifting songs our wings unfurled, soaring hillsides

dropping our cloaks in dreamy skies
connecting energy we rise
crossing the bridge traveling home
lonely days we no longer roam, smiles replace cries

River of my Soul

Embarking on a soul journey
paddling my canoe down river
to a place I have seen before
carrying a bow and quivers
I have sojourned  these waters
in my endless dreams...

Tis here the honey colored moon
plants kisses on tall green pines
as the sun gently bids goodnight
searching for you, exploring signs
I have sojourned these waters
in my endless dreams...

Following a shooting star
light shining across a night sky
drifting into the depth of my soul

I have stood on mossy riverbanks
the water lilies and I have grieved
in patience and stillness waited
with each drumbeat, I believed
I have sojourned these waters
in my endless dreams...

Slicing through mighty rapids
riding currents, paddles ready
red tail hawk, flies overhead
calming my heart,  be steady
I have sojourned these waters
in my endless dreams...

Following a shooting star
light shining across a night sky
drifting into the depth of my soul

Brother bear dances for me
to the  shaman healing song
as I float with red salmon
mystic haze, trees march along
I have sojourned these waters
in my endless dreams...

leave your moccasins behind
come run barefoot with me
marking trails, leaving imprints
for seven generations to see
I have sojourned these waters
in my endless dream...

following a shooting star
light shining across a night sky
drifting into the depth of my soul
