Survival basic instincts of the human spirit to carry on
ultimately defeating the odds that try to tip the scales
running a race slow and steady we can persevere
vitality found within each beat of a willing heart
in quiet meditation we find our inner strength
visionaries pave the way for those who cannot see
allowing ourselves to dream of a better world
love and compassion hold the key to survival

Hey Truedessa,
ReplyDeleteFitting thoughts from your good self. Our inner strength listening to the wisdom, the wonder of the inner child.
Thank you for your post.
Gary
Gary,
DeleteHow have you been my friend? I haven't heard from you in awhile.
I'm not too bad today, thank you. The dog has decided to take over my blog site. Somebody has to pawst, um, post on it.
DeleteI shall now take a journey back through my screen and back to my home.
Gary :)
I will come visit you there at your home...I feel the screen pulling me in to the sound of some Moody Blues...
DeleteLove and compassion are the key ... or the SOS goes unnoticed. Meditation is helping me gain more of that energy than I've had before. I know this planet has enough for all, but getting to the plenty is so hard. (BTW, Vitality is next week's prompt! I love that you brought it in here as a factor in survival.) A clever and meaningful acrostic..
ReplyDeleteSusan,
DeleteHave you ever attended a crystal meditation? I find it very soothing and restorative as the energy flows within bringing balance of some kind.
Excellent acrostic! I agree love and compassion are both the key or else the signs of distress won't come across as they should. Beautifully put :)
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
Sanaa
Good Morning, Thanks for visiting..
DeleteSurvival taking such a form would be a good day, instead of all the crap now at play
ReplyDeleteHi Pat,
DeleteToday, I will give thanks for the gifts that I do have. Wishing you a happy day there at your bay!
Oh how I love this response to the prompt - the will to carry on, the visionaries who inspire us to dream of a better world. Sigh. Words we need to read and repeat to ourselves. Wonderfully written, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry, we do need people with a vision to help pave the way.
DeleteI agree with you that love and compassion are the keys ~ Love the acrostic ~
ReplyDeleteThank you Grace, I hope you are well I haven't seen you around much!

DeleteDistress is everywhere - globally, nationally, locally, individually - and yet so much can be soothed by love and compassion..makes you wonder why it is so hard to achieve..beautifully written
ReplyDeleteI agree there is chaos everywhere..a little compassion can go far on many levels of need.
DeleteMeditation, love and compassion. All keys in overcoming! So beautiful!

DeleteDefinitely - love and compassion are key! If only....
ReplyDeleteHi Mary...if only...
DeleteSo many people have been saved by the compassion and kindness of others. Millions more would have died if people had not taken the persecuted in. Compassion saves lives!
ReplyDeleteThat is true compassion and kindness have opened many doors.
DeleteCompassion the conscience instigator and love a likely answer! Very true Truedessa!
ReplyDeleteHank

DeleteWhat a way to define the very word Survival - wisdoms stitched in every word...Powerful!
