sitting here havin' one of those days
some bad times I've had my share
hearts lead us in mystical ways
hearts lead us in mystical ways
I want you to know I still care...
connected soaring the heavens
crossing the intergalactic
realm
seeking the beauty of our essence
kindred souls we stood at the helm
writing our stories in the stars
our names written across the sky
love is the secret to healing scars
floating on wispy clouds
feeling high
sitting here havin' one of those days
some bad times I've had my share
hearts lead us in mystical ways
I want you to know I
still care...
on the bridge between two worlds
the northern star guides us home
on giant wings our destiny unfurled
celestial highways, we yearn to roam
illuminating in the frequency of love
grasping the meaning of who we are
speckles of dust hope shines from above
closing our eyes dreams aren't so far
sitting here havin' one of those days
some bad times I've had my share
hearts lead us in mystical ways
I want you to know I
still care...

Hi Truedessa - yes life can be tough at times .. but our imagination brings us hope and there is always hope and good times ahead. To wander the galaxies to bridge the worlds would be an amazing exploration ... we still care - the people do ... life is full of care, we can make time to stand and stare, to bring hope ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best - cheers Hilary
Such days sure seem to come and go, but then it's on with the show.
ReplyDeleteWe love, and that's who we are.
ReplyDeleteWe open our hearts to care, to roam free and to dare. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCourageous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, nostalgic, poignant, sad......I especially love "writing our stories in the stars, our names written across the sky".....so beautiful. My friend, I upgraded my system and lost your email address. Yoiks. Please e me!!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the emotions in your lines...!!
ReplyDeleteOh I definitely know the feeling of having one of those days! And on those days one definitely does turn reflective and think about the path taken & the people who with whom one has crossed paths. Very thoughtful, Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteIt takes courage to live and love. And we all have one of thos days once in a while.
ReplyDeleteThere are those days, wondering what really happened... maybe that's the day to go through memories and find a cause for years to come... lovely writing, and I love the repeated refrain.
ReplyDeletethe good thing about dreamers and poets, is that we can transcend via words or music or even quiet time to escape the baddies of our reality return in memory
ReplyDeleteWishing you a creative Sunday
much love...
A beautiful heartfelt song! In the bad times, I remember.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful song. Yes, it's not easy, but we see ourselves reflected in those infinite skyward views. I enjoyed reading this. Fine job.

"love is [indeed] the secret to healing scars", even when times get difficult. It is quite incredible how love (for others and for self) keeps us going day after day after day...
ReplyDeleteOn those rough days, our hearts often take us back to those kindred spirits we have been so connected to, those ones whose names we have written 'our stories in the stars' with. Can feel all of that in here so deeply.
ReplyDeleteI specially like "want you to know I still care" in the refrain and also "....dreams aren't so far"....
ReplyDeleteThis would make a good song.
ReplyDeleteI love the refrain and closing line of 'I want you to know I still care' - sings volumes of a generous heart..which is perhaps the biggest factor in surviving one of those days...
ReplyDeleteI've had too many of those days recently - need to remember to hold my head high and look up, further than here and now.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rhyme: masterfully rendered. And (sigh) those mystical ways. Wonderful writing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful ...right on the right "Frequency" :)
