Once In a Lifetime

Shakespeare in Love,' thou is now an actual love story - Chicago ...

Once in a lifetime we experience
true magic, making love with
words, touching with nouns,
kissing verbs

let's compose a lyrical song
inject it with love rocking
the inner chambers of our
hearts

let's write a sonnet unlock
the secret passageway to our
soul, making  Shakespeare
blush in our chosen form

let's dream under moonlight
entwined in the arms of fantasy
sail into the winds of adventure
let love be our guiding star
into a sea of ecstasy

once in a lifetime we experience
true magic on the stage of
imagination, a troubadour sings
and a poetess falls into his songs
notes forever captured in time

  1. Oh, this is beautiful. Once in a lifetime, a troubadour sings and a poetess falls into his songs, and the memories of magic last forever. Sigh.

  8. A beautiful love poem, Truedessa. I especially love the lines:
    ‘let's write a sonnet unlock
    the secret passageway to our
    soul, making Shakespeare
    blush in our chosen form’.

  12. Making Shakespeare blush---now that's an aspiration! But our art has the potential, once in a while, of bringing intoxication. We should drink of it when we can.
