Cancelled Dreams of Yesterday

summer theater
doors of yesterday now locked
nature center stage

orchestra of birds
singing chorus of new life
ghosts fill empty seats

cancelled spring music
free your imagination
sing songs from your heart

of all the cancelled summer concerts.

    Your haiku verse poem is wonderful! Well done. My claim to fame? Standing onstage with Don McLean in the mid 80's in Anchorage Alaska singing American Pie with him. What a trip that was!

      No, youtube, is not the same thing as actually experiencing the beauty of music live. I am grateful for youtube though as it brings music to me via another mode.

      Hopefully, we can gather again to enjoy the gift of music. I will miss the free concerts in the park this summer. Safety must come first.
