Bark of the Dragon

Pic credit Truedessa

high on a mountain ridge dreams manifest
in silence secret wonders can be found
new beginnings, nature the catalyst
walking with ancestors on sacred ground

sharing with the birch, layers of my heart
lake waters offer cleansing for the soul
revealing rainbow skies, as clouds depart
the bark of the dragon making me whole

within deep waters paddling my canoe
discovering balance plays a key role
stroke by stroke, rippling reflections in view
seeking wisdom and destiny the goal

planting dreams watered by a sky fountain
in the heart of the red garnet mountain

sharing with Poets United...
honoring a dream...

    1. In some realms the birch tree is considered a white dragon capable of healing. How are you today?

    2. Tired (what's new) but fairly upbeat. But I've got so much work to do, it's like this dark cloud following me wherever I go. Do you know what I mean? That doesn't keep me from trying to outrun it though.

    3. Ha - I know that feeling tired..glad to hear you are staying upbeat. I do know about dark clouds, but I believe the clouds will pass and a blue sky will once again appear right before your eyes.

    4. Alex tells me you rock. I told him all we need is a bit of roll, a Jungle Room and something to drink. Are you in?

    5. Hi Blue,

all we need is a bit or roll and then we can rock n' roll, the jungle room would be grand, paradise in another land..I'll take a cold drink and I am with you...I am in ;)

I was raised on rock, I got rhythm in my soul
I was born to love the beat, I was made for rock and roll

      now who said that???

  19. Do dragons bark? I always thought they roared...

I'm just kidding. I wanted to be able to say something more than just "this is beautiful and serenely peaceful." Which, it is.

    1. haha - well in this case they bark...even though you can hear the roar of the white dragon if you are still...the goddess of the forest will awaken and open doorways to new beginnings..so it is said...

      Thank you for the smile...
