Author's note: trying my hand at a Diamante
of course I put my own spin on it. Thanks
for visiting.
A bloom of sun and moon to which one can swoon
ReplyDeleteThe sun and moon both have alluring qualities.
DeleteMuch like when you are falling in love you are as much moon as sun... wonderful
ReplyDeleteVery true Bjorn and insightful...
DeleteBeautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI especially like how the missing space before "unfolding" creates the word "gunfolding," which makes me think of folding up a ... gun. :)
Thank you for the visit and the interesting comment. "gunfolding"
DeleteBeautiful comparison of blooms to sun and moon, each one perfectly cast.
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful flowers and encompass the power of the sun and moon as a source of light.
DeleteNice poetic flow...
ReplyDeleteThanks Humbird
DeleteYou have captured the sunflower in a VERY unique way!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary, well leave it to me to be different.
DeleteNight and day - in your own wonderful way (not that I can claim to know what Diamante means) ..I love the intoxicating spin you have given us.. Although sunflower is beautiful I think moonflower intoxicates us the most
ReplyDeleteThe sunflower is always facing the sun, seeking the light The moon-flower's aroma draws us in to the magical powers of the moon.
DeleteI like how it blends and changes in the middle - well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex - an intoxicating cocktail made from both the sun and moon.
DeleteSuch a vivid image you create!
ReplyDeleteThank you Matthew.
DeleteA lovely cascade of words - a pleasure to read!
ReplyDeletethank you Wendy
DeleteThey are similar in ornamentation yet different in appearance. Diamante at its best opposites!
ReplyDeleteHank
The moon and sun are opposites much like the flowers. I think it is a full moon tonight.
Deletea beautiful life journey from day to night, each with its glory...days' dazzle and vigor and night's calming down, soothing glow, fragrant with memories...so beautifully crafted...
ReplyDeleteSumana - that is a lovely comment the beauty of day verses night. I like the calm of night sometimes.
DeleteA most lovely diamante :D
ReplyDeletethank you Sanaa - the form was interesting to work with.
DeleteAh, lovely how you lead from one to the other.
ReplyDeleteThere is beauty in both, sun to moon, light to night
DeleteThey're like the sun and moon, lovers!
ReplyDeleteopposites attract they say
DeleteAh, the sunflower, that which is so resilient it'll even grow through concrete. That is pretty romantic, isn't it? Love the diamante.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is that it can still grow though obstacles. That is romantic..
DeleteReally good from start to end, I like this form. Good images too
ReplyDeleteThanks Julian..
DeleteI admire the shift of blooms from sun to moon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace, both blooms have their own beauty .
DeleteApologies for being away
ReplyDeleteI have returned another day
To say
Flower of sun
Blending as one
With flower of moon
Glowing with nature's tune.
Gary, Gary, nary contrary...
Hi Gary,
DeleteNo apology needed here my friend.
Gary, Gary do you have these flowers in your garden?
My garden is now the view from my apartment. We are thinking of incorporating some sunflowers into the communal gardens, which I've been starting to sort out.
DeleteSunflower and daisies are my favorites, a communal garden will be lovely...if anyone can sort it out you can.
DeleteI like the contrast in your words that mirror the contrast in the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wishes.
You are quite welcomed Gail, that was a lovely birthday gift you gave.
