103 Dragon Hill

Dragon Hill

She resides at 103 Dragon Hill
mystic castle overlooking the sea
beneath a starry sky, winds still
soaring in dreams, she is set free

following the songs of her heart
searching for mysterious keys
her knight awaits,  her lips part
soaring in dreams, she is set free

enchantment, a magical spell
slumbering under a willow tree
within her soul true love dwells
soaring in dreams, she is set free

  1. "Soaring in dreams, she is set free." How lovely that is to contemplate. I love the cool sign in the photo! we just featured poems about dragons at Poets united. Smiles.

  2. Such a lane with a tree swayed of love. Not a bad dream indeed.

  4. Intriguing title, and a fun poem. Street names really can be inspiring, or otherwise cool. That's Entertainment, a comic & collectibles store in Worcester, MA, is on the corner of Park Avenue and Lois Lane. They petitioned the city to change the little street's name a few years ago, and the city agreed. I love that.

  5. Okay, should I get my mind out of the gutter or did I read what I thought I just read?

  7. So romantic. Sounds like she found a fine, upstanding knight to take care of her. Dragon Hill will never be the same again! The rhyme and metre give this a lovely ballad-y feel. Thanks for sharing.

  8. Yes, there has to be a castle of some sort on Dragon Hill! Not forgetting the maiden and the knight in shining armour!

  9. She waits her beloved's return, how romantic. In her ivory tower, awaiting love's first kiss. A wonderful classic theme, bravo!
