I like the wolf moon / howl your intentions part. Clever! The night sky is fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI am a stargazer and my head will be tilting upwards for a glimpse.
Delete'moon, earth and sun
ReplyDeletealign creating a trifecta

Such refreshing description of celestial phenomena!
Well ,hopefully, there will be a clear sky to view this winning trifecta.
DeleteI like that trifecta of mystery.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Frank :)
DeleteThat would be one super alignment.
ReplyDeleteAlex this weekend will be a celestial event. I plan to drum and dance.
DeleteLove that changing view. Eclipses are quiet breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing to view. Will you be watching?
DeleteHi Truedessa - as a Capricornian ... I feel this speaks to me ... January moon and howling wolf - my intentions with breathing life ... excellent - Happy New Year and cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Keep howling let your voice be heard.
DeleteOoooh, very nice! Don't you wish you could read the mind of an animal who is howling at the moon? What are they experiencing? Awe, fear, kinship, frustration...?
ReplyDeleteHi Silver I often wonder what animals think. I am sure they share many of our human emotions. I once read that wolves tilt their heads upward when howling for acoustic reasons. It carries their voice far into the night. So if you plan to howl your intentions this weekend be sure to tilt your head towards the moon and let the vibrational sound carry your intention towards the heavens.
DeleteHmmmm. Well, if "wolves tilt their heads upward when howling for acoustic reasons," maybe they're not literally howling at (because of) the moon? They might be howling for some other, more practical reason. But the idea of them howling at the moon is so more intriguing, I think.
DeleteHey Silver,
DeleteI too like the idea that they are howling at the moon. The full moon effects humans and animals. So, perhaps during the full moon they howl a bit more or louder.
Hey, let's keep the werewolf folklore alive and well.
On a side note, who doesn't like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine?
"howl your intentions" - YES. Oh, that we could do this, like wishes on stars? Why not. Perhaps somewhere deep, we were all raised by wolves. ;)
ReplyDeletePerhaps, we were De running wild and free.
DeleteLet's all howl our intentions - for peace and social justice - at the Women's March on January 19th. Here in Tofino, tomorrow I will be at a march in support of the Wet'Suwet'en people , opposing the fracking gas pipeline that wants to run right through their traditional territory.
ReplyDeleteSherry, let us howl loud so our voices can be heard. I will be drumming this weekend.
DeleteMakes me think of the wolf moon that's coming up on January 20th. Well written.
ReplyDeleteThat was indeed my inspiration. I hope there will be a clear sky.
DeleteHave to howl them out and see what comes about. Be interesting to know what they really want when some animals howl.
ReplyDeleteI think it is basically to communicate a need and it depends on the pitch. You know I will be howling.
DeleteFacinating celestial events with the trifecta
ReplyDeleteof mystery. Howl your intentions...I like this.
Thanks Grace - be sure to howl your intentions to the universe.

ReplyDeleteHi Shadow, Did you see the full moon? I went outside at midnight to take in the eclipse. It was amazing.
DeleteHey Truedessa,
ReplyDeleteHowl are you? Oops, how are you? I howl at the bloody moon and not a moment too soon. Well done with your prose as the moonlight grows.
Gary, Gary, nary contrary.....
