Standing on the shore of uncertainty
I have to wonder, where we are going
my heart beats to a sense of urgency
circling there's a deep fog of unknowing
perhaps, dreams are dissolving,
dissolving
dissolving.....
cool rippling waves
break at my feet
changing the course of my footsteps
misty clouds, signal a time to retreat
why must the journey be complex
Tell me is our time
together fading
as this mysterious
world keeps revolving
or; are we on the
threshold of evolving
will brighter days be
there waiting
Standing on the shore of uncertainty
I have to wonder, will we meet again
will I search for you through eternity
the ocean moans, till when or then
perhaps, dreams are dissolving,
dissolving
dissolving.....

it is weary and needs time to reflect

I have to HOPE we will evolve in time, and there does seem to be a groundswell in that direction, as things get more difficult everywhere. A beautiful poem......I feel the line about standing on the shore of uncertainty. We all are, I think. Wonderful writing, True.

DeleteHow familiar are you with the Moody Blues LP "On the Threshold of a Dream?" (I would never assume that you are unfsamiliar with something.) I kept picturing its cover (front and back) while reading this post.

ReplyDeleteI read this as a personal relationship but then again as a humanity issue. Either way, it is wonderful.I think we are at a fork in the road and hopefully the world finally chooses the right path to evolve in a healthy direction.
