Today, I wandered
amongst apple blossoms
petals of soft pink and white
listening to the songs of robins
sweet fragrance, my senses delight
tangled branches flowering limbs
breathtaking beauty in view
here the seeds of fruit begin
emergence of spring renewed
today, I pondered

I would like to wander and ponder through apple blossoms, too.
ReplyDeleteThe orchards are a wonderful place to wander.
DeleteA delightful apple blossom quadrille, Truedessa! We have apple blossom in our garden at the moment and, I must admit, I prefer their delicate petals to cherry blossom, and they smell wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim, they do smell heavenly.
DeleteI bet apple tree blossoms smell nice.
ReplyDeleteAlex, that they do.
DeleteBeautifully written!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. Takes me back to my childhood. Kelowna was surrounded then by apple orchards - now it is surrounded by condos.
ReplyDeleteThat is sad that the orchards no longer stand.
DeleteLove the shaping and framing of your poem....hmm...even looking like a blossom itself.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mish for the great prompt word!
DeleteYes, now it is time for apple bloom, and i really hope for fruit as well.
ReplyDeleteI was amazed how many blossoms were on the trees. A good sign of an abundant of apples in the fall.
DeleteI like the rhymes you've found here. Great.
ReplyDeleteThank you
