A Mystery Unsolved

How often we ponder skies of blue
searching for signs and secret clues

Time and space we wish to explore
looking beyond the front door

Has the universe defined our destiny
do we feel our eternal melody

Ticked
away each precious day, dreaming
into the night chasing moonbeams

A lifetime of poetic mystery unsolved
the earth 's path continues to revolve

Heaven a vastness stretching far and wide
why do flowers grow by a busy roadside

Round and around, we go with each season
nature evolves it needs no reason

The concept of universal interventions
gives us hope for heartfelt intentions

Stars light the way through the darkness
leading towards mystical brightness

And so for today’s MTB prompt we are taking a lyrical line and defining it word by word in an acrostic:

I have chosen this line How time has ticked a heaven round the stars. A poem line from Dylan Thomas

Dead Men - Tell No Tales

courtesy of pixabay

 In a ringed-sea; shines a sunless-gem
high tide-looped braided-ropes around
the crow's nest
moon-blown wind echoed with dark-
vowelled ghostly songs...
dust-tongued pirates searched for
the water-spoken tales of hidden treasures
stealing pieces of eight, walking the plank
under a pitch-black sky, he- bird sang
to she- bird of un-told riches for those
brave enough to sail the tear-culled waters
muffle-toed mariners deafen sounds
of lost souls, cradle-petals of black-rose
ravens, heaven-circling turbulent sea for those
bell-voiced believers in a diamond-clustered
sky..

a pirate sails. This is dedicated to a certain Captain and crew!
