Starlight Ride

courtesy of free wallpaper.com

somewhere across the great divide
my soul waits to take a starlight ride
soaring to the  beat of a shaman drum
leaving you a path of cosmic crumbs

come follow me, I will navigate the way
oh, what I'm feeling words can't convey
love resides, out in the vast blue sky
within my heart a wild dragon flies

unfurling my wings, I want to flee
into  dreams, there's a place to be
into dreams, there's you and me
soaring in a boundless heavenly sea

somewhere across the great divide
you and I ride an emotional tide
we bridge the gap, the great void
spiraling in the beltway of asteroids

come follow me, I will navigate the way
oh, what I'm feeling words can't convey
love resides, out in the vast blue sky
within my heart a wild dragon flies

unfurling my wings, I want to flee
into  dreams, there's a place to be
into dreams, there's you and me
soaring in a boundless heavenly sea

somewhere across the great divide
I sleep safe and secure by your side
soaring to the melody of your heart
in the rapture of love, needing no chart

come follow me, I will navigate the way
oh, what I'm feeling words can't convey
love resides, out in the vast blue sky
within my heart a wild dragon flies

unfurling my wings, I want to flee
into  dreams, there's a place to be
into dreams, there's you and me
soaring in a boundless heavenly sea

  5. Your poem is a wonderful tale told in the tradition of ballads. I think the refrain adds a very interesting bridge between fantasy and dreams.

Such a feeling is what one so desires. It is the peace and harmony that prevails that's what love is. Wonderful lines True!

  9. Your poem reads like a chant, a spell that turns the images into reality. The repetition does a wonderful job at making the dream images clearer and clearer as we move through the poem. By the time I was done reading, I wanted to unfurl my wings and be part of the dream. :-)
