Tranquility, on water's edge
silently waiting under grey sky
you bring a promise, a pledge
nearby, budding willow cries
silently waiting under grey sky
reflections of who we really are
nearby, budding willow cries
beyond dark clouds, shining star
reflections of who we really are
walking a thin line at twilight
beyond dark clouds, shining star
on hopeful wings we take flight
walking a thin line at twilight
truth found in the looking glass
on hopeful wings we take flight
new life in blades of fresh grass
truth found in the looking glass
transition, spring is now calling
new life in blades of fresh grass
sunlight awakens, new dawning
Ah, we do have to keep those hopeful wings and enjoy taking flight on a beautiful spring day. Thank you for this hopeful upbeat poem today, Truedessa.
ReplyDeletei love how truth reveals itself, and also the hopeful wings and the new dawning...tranquility seems to be the mirror where truth is reflected...a beautiful thought....
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of this... a plea and so much hope that only a sunny day can bring.
ReplyDeleteHeaven knows we all need words of hope and tranquility. THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteThe promise of spring always comes. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI love the hopefulness and the beauty - the shining star above and beyond the dark night - in this poem, which radiates light, peace and hopefulness. Lovely work, Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteThere is profound beauty in the stillness and in the movement expressed in this piece--beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Truedessa. I like the progression, the symbolic hope you describe, the light of Spring. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteBTW I like the photo so much. Hope you don't mind that I downloaded it just so I can draw it.
ReplyDeleteMyrna, I'd love to see it when it is done :)
DeleteYou are always so good at doing wonders with circles, cycles, and yes, reflections... I see the Wheel turning in your poem, reminding me that will continue to happen--some days will be dark, others bright with blooms--but life will always be... in one way or another.
ReplyDelete...we are the new dawn, the new light as example...
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me think.

That light of spring sure gets sprung, fly on the wings and see what comes due.
ReplyDeleteHope is a beautiful thing. As is spring.
ReplyDeleteThis is soo gorgeously written..❤️ and more so when read out aloud ❤️
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and filled with hope.
ReplyDeleteWas it coincidence that all the four line stanzas end hopefully? Impressive
ReplyDelete"sunlight awakens"---such a refreshing, beautiful thought!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful in words and sentiments – an accomplished use of this lovely form. And I can see why Myrna wants to draw that photo!
ReplyDeleteI think we always get an assurance of the rightness of the world as we observe nature as opposed to the ugly world we have created for ourselves. Let's hope it can always teach us lessons. Beautifully written Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteA transcendent piece. Reflections often take us to a place of transcendence ... and this poem makes that point, beautifully. Lovely writing, Truedessa.
ReplyDeleteYou have captured the tranquility of silent reflections in shades of blue and grey.
ReplyDeleteThis form really made the word and meaning flow together. It was music to my eyes. :)
ReplyDeleteYummy sounding poem. Finding reflections everywhere with your words, I still look out on what is new. I'm surprised to see both at once.
ReplyDeleteI hate sitting under those gray skies, pondering life in the cold while I await the warmth of spring. Now that it's here, I'm more full of life than ever.
ReplyDeletespring is now calling
