Sojourning
west I begin my quest
searching for a sanctuary of rest
songs beating within my breast
brightly colored balloons carry me
beyond tall peaks of evergreen trees
catching your scent in spring's breeze
bursting with joy
a time of renewal
love

A perfectly done shape! (I do these so badly on a computer; you have my undying admiration!) Great line ' bursting with joy' - love the pun!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jilly!
DeleteOh! Oh! OHHHHHH!
ReplyDeletePerfection! I was hoping somebody would do a concrete poem! I cannot make these happen in wordpress. You have ROCKED it.
Hi De, Thanks for the prompt. I guess my muse felt creative tonight.
DeleteNice red balloon right on the page.
ReplyDeleteThere it is ready to take flight
DeleteI like the form of this poem. It really brings out those last two words. A fun read. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Arcadia, so glad it was fun to read.
DeleteI love the look of this poem, flying on the page........fly joyously, my friend, and enjoy every moment.
ReplyDeleteSpreading my wings soon I hope :)
DeleteSoaring free - very clever! I couldn't make one of those if I tried.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex, It just sort of took shape.
DeleteI also admire how you made this into a delightful shape poem and how well you worked with the rhyming.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Victoria. It was indeed fun to create.
DeleteHow I love balloons - and love soaring free.
ReplyDeleteMegathanks.
I do love balloons as well, there is something magical about watching them drift through the sky. I always wonder where will it will land.
DeleteYour love was carried on the wind, how evocative of a red balloon. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSmiling - yes love was carried up up and away...
DeleteSoaring free... I like this. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your shape poem, Truedessa, and it rhymes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely story of a soul 'searching for a sanctuary of rest'. And how delightful to be carried by 'brightly colored balloons'.
I hope the soul finds the sanctuary of rest.
DeleteWow!! I love the shape you have formed here :D beautifully done!

DeleteLove this! Great job with the form poem. I think it just floated clear off the screen. I have written 2 poems about red balloons - they are so ~ poetic ~ and seem to convey a million nuances in their color, shape, bob and drift.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy, I think there is something wonderful about a red balloon!
DeleteSuch a sweet and hopeful poem and then the shape that you made of a red balloon "soaring free!" Very uplifting (no pun intended.) :)
ReplyDeleteHaha - that made me smile
DeleteLove the shape! It's a beautiful journey.
ReplyDeleteI recently read an article about how messages were put in balloons and released. I wonder if they actually landed somewhere?
DeleteReally fun style! Happy Spring, Truedessa! Thanks for visiting! Much Love!
ReplyDeleteHi Humbird, so nice to see you writing again :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, i had an idea and let it balloon

DeleteVery creative. I liked it!
ReplyDeleteHi Silver Fox, nice to see you here!
DeleteI'd love to soar free like a balloon in the sky.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun, as long as it doesn't pop :)
DeleteVery clever!! Really love this! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hugs back..
DeleteLet's sore free
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me!
