Post Card from the Sea

photo - wikimedia

in the swell of ocean waves
visions of you in a dream tide
love is wild, it cannot behave
I heard Neptune's roaring cry
tis love,a mortal heart craves
thinking of you, under blue sky
swimming in a riptide, be brave

  1. The sea is my favorite. I like all of your use of rhyme and assonance here.

  7. Hi Truedessa - lovely poem the tides do change so much ... throwing us out before perhaps kindly taking us under their soft wing of a gentle sea ... cheers Hilary

  17. Ah... that blue sky
    Too hard to fathom
    A handsome why
As I gaze it seems to change
    Its face
    Its range
The sound it makes inside my head
    As I close my eyes
And gaze beyond the safety of my bed
    That sky...
    That blue, blue sky...
Why do we have to say goodbye?

    Sleep tight, True Blue.
